The results are in and it is obvious most of you would download a car, if you could. When asked how often you bought anime dvd’s or downloaded anime from a digital store a whooping 67% of you replied “Buy? What’s that? I cant hear you with all these torrents around me!”. In fact I’m just going to shut up and let the following graph do the talking.

actually i buy quite a few anime DVDs, i’d buy more if stores other than Fry’s kept a proper stock of them.
I was expecting the pirate margin to be larger. Nut then again there will always be pirates. At least the argument with anime is that a subber can get the ep with subs long before a proper release is developed. So it would only be pirateering if the release is already availible in your zone.
I am planning to buy the Gurren Lagann DVDs.. And hook that bitch up to a huge ass tv with Bose 5.1

I do both. Though most of the time i download stuff (which i barely download stuff anymore as it is, cause i don’t have time to watch it all), but with most series i wait and pray they will someday come out on blu-ray.
japan already has a ton of series on blu, here’s hoping they make their way out over here. i’d kill for stuff like gurren and gits: sac in blu
