In the midst of fanboys breaking up with Sony, in light of its massive UK delay, comes news that will sure make Nintendo fanboys happy. Joystiq reports that IBM has been shipping the Wii’s CPU chip, named Broadway , since July. This contradicts certain rumors that the Wii was, like the PS3, not in production.
Some speculate that this information means that Nintendo could very well launch earlier than its expected November launch window. Which, realistically speaking, would mean an October release. This could be possible considering recent reports that retailers would be receiving Wii kiosks and promotional materials in October.
