Yesterday Activision’s CEO, Mike Griffith, confirmed that Guitar Hero, as hinted before, was making its way unto the Wii as well. This was confirmed during a conference in which Griffith said:

The key difference in our strategy versus the prior cycle, is that in addition to full support on Sony and Microsoft platforms, we will aggressively target the Nintendo platforms consistent with our multi-platform strategy and Nintendo’s expected growth. In fiscal 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero.

So from all of this aggressive support for the Wii guitar hero is really the only thing slightly worthy of attention. Or is anyone excited about the next Shrek game?

The Wii version of the game could enjoy the bonus of having the cheapest guitar of them all, since it could be a simple shell that hooks up to the Wiimote, could the Wii be the next big faux-musicianship mecca?
