Wii Transfer: Wii Multimedia for the Technically Challenged

Still a little bummed that your Wii cant play DVDs? Jealous of all that multimedia functionality the other consoles have? Got a Mac? Get Wii Transfer! Wii Transfer is a program that allows you to convert videos for playback in your Wii’s photo channel. It also allows you to export photo collections from your computer to the Wii via your SD card. What? You were already able to do that? Sure, but with this app its more interesting than a simple and mundane drag and drop.
Where this app really sines though is in its ability to share music into the Wii via the Wii’s Opera browser, it even shows you the cover art! Oh wait, but you could already do that by setting a small home web server. And you can do it for free, regardless of your OS, hell you can even stream a full length movie like that, something which Wii Transfer cant really do.
Still, if you’re a technically challenged Wii/Mac fanboy *shudders* with 9 bucks to waste, go for it!
