A bittersweet day for Anime. TV-Tokyo, by far one of the most important sources of anime in Japan, has entered into an agreement with Crunchyroll to stream English subtitled episodes of Naruto (as well as 4 more series) one hour after they air in Japan.
Great! The sweet taste of victory is followed by the nasty aftertaste of yet more freaking Naruto in our lives. Let us celebrate anyhow, this is an agreement that opens up the door to a bright future, even if it means more Naruto for now.

I wonder if/how long it may take to produce an agreement like this for niche animes to come state side. IMHO this is why you have so many fansubber groups vs. length of time it takes for an offical studio release.
I agree with Nahu though. This is a win for all anime fans.
I’m a Naruto fan and i think this is good (though it will never compare to reading the manga. Still, i want to see those vs-Akatsuki battles)
Y’know, this is actually a good thing. Even though I despise Naruto in all of it’s forms, it’s good to see a group actually showing their own subs.
I can only hope that shows like Toradora get this treatment.
They should do this for Pokemon, man! The 100 wait drives the older fans crazy!
