Sigh, they must have asked the young people…

Fujio Fujiko’s Doraemon at 5? Tesuka Ozamu’s Phoenix and Black Jack at 6 and 7?
Of course, Slam Dunk, JoJo, and Dragon Ball are now considered “classic”, and FMA are very popular, but still…

The Rose of Versaille at 28, Glass Mask at 30, Ashita no Joe at 35, Lupin the Third at 38, Astro Boy at 43…

      Sigh, again.

Well, at least all in the top 50 list seems to have real “substance”, and not just fan-service-filled mangas aim at otakus. If I see any Akamatsu Ken’s work above Fujio’s or Tetsuka’s, I would be very, very angry.

And I’m surprised to see Emma at 45. I hope those votes came from people who enjoys reading a good romance manga, not from those who have maid fetish.

Yeah for those of us who know the older stuff the list might seem to be a little backwards, with so much of the cool old stuff at the last numbers.

      That’s TRUE! no Saint Seiya!

Obviously it’s very difficult to make even a close estimate on the TOP anything of all time, basically since anime and manga have had an unexpected boom in the 2000’s so, considering that manga-hobbies are more and more “acceptable” and somewhat of a fad among more youngsters, we were prone to watch more newer titles on top. Sad, but that’s how it is.

Naruto & Bleach aren’t on there because it is mostly popular in the 13-to-20 crowd, while the others happen to have a fanbase of any age. Itfloors me that One Piece is so close to the top 10…. when the series ends, it will probably#4, AT LEAST.
