Hey dudes and dudettes, whats up? Time to tell you one of my adventures of the last few days, its full of excitement and gratuitous nudity! or maybe not, you’ll just have to read on to find out!

Monday I went out with cheve and velcor to this television event called ‘ponte la verde’, what its all about is that televisa, the tv station that hosted the event, goes to major cities nationwide and they give out the official nike tshirt of Mexico’s football (ok, soccer for you USA folks) team. The event was at 3pm, we arrived about an hour before to find about 1500 attendees where already there.

The line to get a shirt was about 120 meters long while the rest of the crowd was enjoying the so called show on-stage. It kinda made me remember that episode of pinky and the brain where the brain says that people would do anything for a free tshirt! Anyway we really had very little information about the procedure of the event, apparently you had to turn in a football themed drawing for a tshirt. So we went to the back of the line and left cheve there while velcor and I went to buy some paper, cheap wood colors, drinks and cheetos.

Abe was kind enough to agree to do all three drawings while we waited in line. The line is where things get interesting, we saw a hobo sleeping on the sidewalk who was later chased away by the police, cheve asked what happened to the rights of the hobos, I told him they sold them for socks. Now this is where the rumors started coming in, people started saying they had ran out of shirts, then we heard that not everyone was getting a shirt, that you had to get on stage and win some kind of silly competittion to get one.

So, velcor finished the drawings, we kept in line, the rumors kept comming in, as we got closer we saw an increasing number of police comming in. Later we started hearing about how people had rioted and stolen the shirts. We saw this one guy with a bunch of shirts, shoved bellow his clothes, chased by about 10 other men, they cornered him and well, we asume they beat the shit out of him!

The line eventually broke off and we saw how the police had taken the stage to protect the staff and how people where still tried to get shirts, it was quite a show! We eventually left the place having won no shirts but eaten many cheetos. What we did after that will be a story for another day, for now I think this is enough! See you soon!
