The traumatic youth of the Mario Brothers
Monday 2 October 2006 @ 1:34 am | By Ivan 'Nahu' Lozano 3 CommentsWe’ve seen some pretty interesting representations of the Super Mario universe but this is beyond creepy. Beyond to the point where homo-erotic innuendo starts to seem normal.
This are the illustrations of Goujin Ishihara, an artist who created these for Famicom Tsushin, an old japanese Nintendo magazine. The series is titled ‘The youth of the Mario brothers’. It explores how growing up in the mushroom kingdom must have been like. Apparently it involved shaking their bulging package for money, which eventually led them to work in the most bizarre of shows. Must have been a traumatizing youth!
Here are the pictures, watch at your own risk.
Thanks SilentTom for the tip!
