Released by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs, who also released the recent Top 50 Manga of Japan, and very much like last year’s poll of top 100 anime of 2006, is a list of the top 100 anime in Japan. To much delight over those who complained of 2006 top list (although conducted by a different entity) this list has both series and movies. See how your favorite’s fair, just dont expect the newer series to beat the timeless classics.

There was also a write-in section in the poll, which gave the most diligent a chance to vote for virtually any title every created, the results might please a lot since it includes much newer material, the classics didnt stand a chance!
