This funky lady who looks like a backing dancer in a Janet Jackson music video is a new face in Street Fighter IV and her name is Crimson viper. With that get up and a terrible name like that she should be in King of Fighters or Street Fighter EX. True Street Fighter ladies do not wear trousers. The requirements are: leotards that floss the front and back, short skirts that show the panties at the slightest of movements or a figure hugging unitard. Crimson viper has none of these, so already I don’t like her.

She could have a really cool move set and be a cool character worth selecting, but I’m not liking her overall design or her name. She doesn’t look original or stereotypical enough to be memorable. Hopefully the other new characters will look a bit cooler and have more of an impact. I also wonder what the final character roster for Street Fighter IV will look like and if we’ll see Street Fighter III or Alpha characters return. I’d definitely like to see an older Sakura. Chances are she wouldn’t be in a school uniform anymore, but I’m sure they can still mix it up with the skirt and the red Converse.
