With Street Fighter IV’s explosive release around the corner, Capcom are beginning to roll out the new footage and game info to keep players appetites whet. The new, but familiar faces of Street Fighter IV were announced some time ago. But we now have HD footage of them all in action. Check ‘em out after the jump!

Cammy looks awesome. And her voice?! It’s actually British!! It took long enough. I was never a fan of Cammy when she was first introduced in Super Street Fighter II, but started playing as her from games she appeared in from X-Men VS Street Fighter onwards.

I feel bitter towards Gen and Rose, because I feel there were much worthier characters from the Alpha, III and EX series that could’ve been put in IV in their places. I can’t believe that the likes of Sodom, Karin, Rainbow Mika, Ibuki and Skullomania didn’t make the cut – whilst some old man and a lady with man legs who whips people with a beach towel did. Rose looks better in action than I thought she would. But I still would’ve liked to have seen somebody else in her place. As for Gen, I guess Capcom just wanted to have a token old kung-fu master in the game.

Dan is a dumb ass, but you gotta love him. He looks goofier now more than ever! And his ultra super combo made me chuckle. As if getting beaten by Dan in previous games wasn’t humiliating enough, it’ll be even worse in IV!

Street Fighter IV is looking more amazing than ever. The latest additions all look great and are oozing personality due to their animations and voices. Capcom’s given the characters a great deal more personality than any of the previous Street Fighter games have given them. It’s becoming more and more evident why Capcom chose to do this game in 3D. I wasn’t sold on Street Fighter IV when it was first announced and shown, but upon playing the arcade version and seeing these characters in action – this has quickly become an essential purchase for me. My only gripe is that friggin’ announcer. He is so annoying! He’s like the announcer from Power stone tripped on acid. Hopefully there’ll be an option to turn him off.

Roll on February!! It’ll be interesting to read the reviews and see if there is a superior version between the PS3 and Xbox 360. Although I imagine it’ll go something like: The PS3 version benefits from having the more suitable controller, but the 360 version is better on-line.
