It’s not like you were going to watch it in theaters, where you? This is The Borrowers, Ghibli’s upcoming story about little people who live under the floorboards of a house. If this sounds familiar it’s because it’s based on a 50’s novel and since then its elements have been used in many other stories. The film is scheduled for this summer and even at 53 seconds long the teaser already promises the amazing animation and art that we’ve come to expect from Ghibli. Oh, did I mention Miyazaki isn’t directing this? Woah!

Isn’t there an American cartoon and a movie for this already
its been adapted before in movie form.. but if you mean the old 80′s cartoon “The Littles” (ah, good ol’ days) then no.. The littles were based on a series of late 60′s books by an american author.. similar yes.. but not the same =)

it shows practically nothing while making you want to know much more xD
i remember seing the last incarnation of The Borrowers (late 90′s, starring John Goodman) and since i just saw that the BBC did a miniseries i plan on hunting it down to see it…
