Tatsunoko VS Capcom on Wii!
Saturday 20 September 2008 @ 10:21 pm | By Random J 5 CommentsNintendo Wii owning Tatsunoko, Capcom and Street Fighter fanboys rejoice. Capcom latest cross over battle game will be making it’s way to Wii!! The not so good news is that due to licensing issues, there is still a great deal of uncertainty regarding a Western release. But Capcom USA are on the case, so it’s looking hopeful. With any luck Capcom’ll throw down an aluminum suitcase full of money in front of the Tatsunoko exec’s to help sway ‘em…just a tad.

I always had a feeling Tatsunoko VS Capcom would end up on Wii. From the start it seemed like it was potentially going to end up being a pity game for Wii in the absence of Street Fighter IV on the little white box that couldn’t. Not that I was ever complaining mind you. If this is Capcom’s pity, then I’ll take it in spades and skips! I’m actually more excited about Tatsunoko VS Capcom than Street Fighter IV personally. The game looks awesome! But this is coming from a complete whore of the VS. series. I own all the games. Even the God awful port of X-Men VS Street Fighter for the PlayStation. Yes. I am THAT sprung.
Capcom have vowed to have the Wii build of Tatsunoko VS Capcom running as smoothly as the arcade version, as well as including some console exclusive goodies for Wii owners. Hopefully Capcom will include online play. Even if it means we have to use those bastardized Friend codes, this game needs to have online play. It’d be such a kick in the balls and a missed opportunity if it didn’t.
With any luck this’ll get a release in the West so I can finally have an excuse to snap up a classic controller. Capcom USA had better hustle. I may actually cry if this doesn’t get a Western release.

oh man! that’s awesome news!
Looks awesome
This is f^ing great. I love the VS series as well and the visuals look awesome. I hope the gameplay will be great as well. But YAY for the Wii.
Wow, the game looks really cool, I think Capcom has outdone themself this time, Please, please, let it be realease outside of Japan. I’m sure fans are dying to play a anime and fighting crossover game.
Well, the game IS something fresh, mixing basic attack buttons like in Guilty Gear, crazy air combos like in MvC2 and being able to cross-combo like in KOFIX… all in one game.
Even though more characters would’ve been better, the cast is very varied and the minigames guarantee more fun for the fans!
