With a final bit of good news to round out the week for Tales fans such as myself, the Tales of Vesperia Demo has dropped on the Japanese, Asian, and Indian Xbox Live Markeplaces early this morning. Unlike the Ninja Gaiden 2 demo fiasco, this demo does not require a Gold Japanese XBox Live account, nor is it region locked like the Operation Darkness demo was. All you need is a free Silver account and you’re good to go. If you’re downloading onto a North American Xbox 360, the demo will also be entirely in English like last summer’s Eternal Sonata demo.

The demo features a playable party of four characters: Yuri, the protagonist, Repede, his faithful canine companion,  Estelle, the female lead, and Rita, a spunky scientist. A small bit of hilarity at a broken down gate leads to the group being chased off into the wilderness, where you can explore the scenery, configure your characters from a set of unlocked Artes, and try out different moves and combos in a series of encounters including a rather tough boss fight at the end of the run.

Go and grab the demo to whet your appetite before the game comes out this August!
