The official Japanese TV spot for Super Mario Galaxy has been released and it looks all kinds of awesome. Japanese TV spots for video games look and work better than the shitty TV spots the Western world gets. They really do sell the game to you and the Japanese announcer sounds as though he whole heartedly believes in the game and that you should go out and buy three copies of it. Check it out. This game looks like heaven. If heaven were overweight, wore a cap, dungarees and had a moustache.
I’ve just ordered 2 of Super Mario Galaxy copies on amazon. I’ll also be buying my Grandfather a copy of this game. He doesn’t own a Wii. Shoot, he isn’t even alive! But I’m buying him a copy anyway because Super Mario Galaxy looks THAT good. After watching the video I refuse to believe the Wii is a GameCube 1.5. That shit looked like it was running on an Xbox 360!
If Nintendo are on a mission to make out like the dismal Super Mario Sunshine never happened, then they’re doing a grand old job. I may actually trade that piece of shit in to buy this game.

Wow you’re full of it. If you think you can compare anything in that video to what the 360 can do then you’ve got some screws loose. You’ve gotta realize that what’s in this game is most likely pushing the Wii to its limits. While most low quality 360 games look as good as, if not better than, this footage.
I’ll agree that it’s a good tv spot. Unlike most tv spots I see that don’t even include gameplay, this one has nothing but gameplay which is the best way to sell a product in my opinion. This game wasn’t even on my radar before but after seeing this footage I might think about buying it.
As far as I’m concerned this game looks like it is running on a something more powerful than a GameCube 1.5. It looks like a low end Xbox 360 game. And if thinking that means I’m full of it and have screws loose, then so be it - I’m full of it and have screws loose.
Wow, i think Nintendo finally made Mario proud. This looks better then Mario 64, and that says something!
It’s definately the best-looking game on the Wii.
This looks more INTERESTING than some generic high-resolution “next-gen” game.
This is *NEW*-gen!
All blatant nintendo fanboyism on the side, this game does look freaking awesome to be a Wii title, not only because of the pure graphics but the art style is really polished, Im talking motions, camera possitions, etc.
But sure, on a purely technical visual level its barely on par with low end titles of the other consoles.
First things first: Ill be getting this game. That aside, This game looks like there is too much shit to keep track of on each level.
