Don’t know what to get your gaming buddy this Christmas? Or maybe you’re feeling generous and want to surprise a Wii owning friend you’ve made online. Nintendo’s got you covered. Because as of December 11 you’ll be able to send contacts in your Wii address book a Virtual console game! This is a pretty neat feature. Every time my Wii glows from December 11 onward I’ll be rushing to it hoping somebody sent me a game. Not that I’m hinting at anything. (I want Streets of rage 1).
As you can see from the video you’ll be able to choose a contact from your Wii address book (choose me) as a recipient for your generous offering and even type them a personal message (Tell me you love me). WiiMail is as slow as treacle. You could buy an classic gaming console off of eBay along with a cartridge copy of the game, tie it to the back of a super carrier pigeon and it’ll probably reach the recipient faster than WiiMail. So if you plan to send your buddy (My friend code is 8391 4242 0346 8444) a VC game in time for the holiday season - my advice? Send it on December 11.
