Sony’s Cell CPU Doing Worse Than Expected

More bad news/rumors for the PS3 keep coming, no one is surprised anymore. The inquirer is reporting again some industry info that delivers a swift kick in the groin to Kutagari’s baby. This time a high ranking IBM executive said in an interview that the yields on the Cell CPU are way below expectations. Like working at 10-20% of its capacity.
Last time The inquirer went after Sony the fanboy armada fought with their best lack of common sense to defend their beloved console. This time fanboys wont be enough. Somewhere in the deep and dark Sony PR dungeon an exec is barfing up the next lie bold statement to feed us. Something like “The PS3 is actually the most expensive bread toaster experience system”, you know, something nice.
