Big spender Sony has taken a small loan, only 80 billion Yen. Pocket change huh? Well those near 700 million USD (697 836 800 actually) mark the first time Sony takes a loan in a decade. And while this news coming near the launch of the PS3 might give the impression of financial difficulties with the manufacturing, we should put this in context.
Sony is planning to invest 460 billion Yen in semi-conductor manufacturing and spend another 100 billion Yen on LCD research with samsung. With so many zeroes going around I wonder why they wont put a couple of bucks into researching some common sense into Ken “get a 2nd job” Kutagari.
