Sonic and the Black Knight Game Announced

As if we needed any more wacky, alternate-universe Sonic spinoff games. Nintendo Power reports that the game is coming out for the Wii in Spring of 2009. Apparently the game’s plot is based on Medieval lore, and Sonic’s goal “is to become a knight.” Oh, brother.

To make matters worse, European Marketing Director, Gary Knight said that this will be the beginning of a “Storybook” series of Sonic games. This just means that our spiky blue friend will descend even further into the territory of overambitious video game clusterfucks. How long can this keep going on?
