Rockstar Unveils First L.A. Noire Trailer

Finally after many years in the making and nearly total secrecy we get a peak into the world of L.A. Noir, Rockstar’s self described biggest project ever. What really shines and captures you off guard are the excellent facial animations; Rockstar had been working on a new facial animation engine for years and it’s really paid off, the expressions are nuanced and cinematic and the actor’s work translates a lot better into the screen. There’s also Aaron Staton of Mad Men fame taking the lead role in the game which just makes this all the better.

p.s.: the shading is not perfect but well, it must be because the facial expressions give the image some powerful shine!
this is superb.. really amazing job..
this makes one immerse a bit more into the game’s story… characters feel a bit more alive =)
