Fueled by another popular Namco franchise (First idolm@ster, then Ace Combat), the Xbox 360 has outsold the Playstation 3 yet again in Japan, which always sends a shiver down our spine. What’’s more is that the percentage increase is pretty crazy: Over 450%. Numberwise, this means that last week it sold 5,359 units, and this week it sold just under 25,000 (24,962 to be precise). Microsoft owes this to Tales of Vesperia.

Whether it was the Tales of Vesperia Xbox 360 itself that fueled the sales or the game making more people want to pick up the system with no PS3 Tales in site will remain a mystery, but the fact that the system moved as many units as it did shows that given a game the people want, they will come to your system. If the sales hold up for more than a week, we may have to consider preparing for the apocalypse.

Tales was a big part of it. And i bet the massive squareenix lineup helps some as well.

Well, good thing Dragon Quest isn’t gracing the system then. Now that would be the apocalypse.
