PS3…do you really need to brag like that?
Wednesday 25 October 2006 @ 9:00 pm | By Abraham 'Velcor' Duarte Comment now!Sony started the TV ads now, and I’m even more surprised as when I watched the Gogo-Tea girl dancing at a 3-chord jingle. I mean, the guy’s voice might sound serious and imponent but, why does he need to babbletalk so much? He talks and talks and talks about the GREATNESS of the Cell processor; we already know it’s powerful. He talks about the Cell’s “thinking” capabilities; we don’t care about that, we care about what appears on the screen when I’m playing. Oh. and what’s this about? Ooh, a console for games; I thought I was watching a discovery channel special on Computer Graphics of the 21st century until I saw an actual GAME, which is the reason why you want to sell this thing, right?
Damn. I mean, the graphical power is cool and all, but more GAME time and less bragging would be preferred. Reminds me on how the Xbox stated that it could display more than 3 billion (or something like that) polygons at the same time. The thing is we don’t play JUST with polygons. Don’t be fooled, gamers!!
They must make another approach or hire new marketing execs. (Better do both…to be safe).
