Japan is known for its street fashion, gothic lolitas, cyberpunks, ganguro schoolgirls and all around flashy clothing. Well it seems some may-be ravers took this flashy thing a little too literally. Not content with carrying around glowsticks they took to making this kickass clothes with reflective strips. Some of the designs are so cool I would risk showing my dorkiness by wearing them and trying to bust a move.

Then again, is my dorkiness really secret anymore?

I wonder if the more…technically inclined make actual EL pad designs in addition to these reflective ones. Why be the one reflecting when you could be the one making others reflect?

      Umm… That’s not Japan… That’s Melbourne Australia…
You can see the PHD signet on the guys shirt in the first photo and PHD (Pure Hard Dance) is a club in Melbourne, and if you’ve ever been to the Trance club scene in Melbourne Australia, you’ll see mostly those of Asian decent, so, not Japan. Australia.

Anyhow, they are freaking annoying to make. A few of my Asian friends made some, and they spend hours doing it. Seems all too much effort to me.

OMG!!! I’ve been Goth for a while, then picked up glowsticking. I thought that was sweet. Now I have a reason to make pants, or that type of art will go on my trenchcoat/cloak when I make one. I love it so much . . .
