Patapon and LocoRoco Both Get Sequels
Wednesday 9 July 2008 @ 11:39 am | By Quiche 2 CommentsI could have split this up into two separate stories, but since both games are by SCE for the PSP, and since there’s very little information on either upcoming title, it seemed appropriate to condense it all into just one post.
LocoRoco 2 will add a host of new gameplay features, but Sony still intends to keep things simple and accessible to the casual player. Besides that, we have some story details: your adversaries from the last game, the Moja Troop, will also have the ability to sing. Does this mean you’ll be pitting your songs against theirs? I don’t entirely get the concept yet, but it sounds interesting.
As for Patapon 2, it’s coming out in winter of this year, and will feature multiplayer functionality. Definitely a good move on Sony’s part. All of this excitement almost makes me wish I bought a PSP…

Just an “almost…”
Anyway, this is good news as the first two games offered a unique visual experiences and gameplay mechanics.
Never did get past the rain dance level on Patapon. Glad to hear more news about new PSP games.
