I’m well aware about Akihabara being the haven for otaku, fujoshi, and any weirdo with some attraction to “anything” in particular. You’re surely to find another of you -brethren sooner or later. Dating sims are an ever-profitable market over there, with beautiful ladies, shut down in a small area like an hotel, a school, a house, breaking mishap to the main guy. That’s the basic formula. Now. . .that’s where this game enters.

Oppai Baka! is the name of this game Oppai is “Boobs” and Baka “stupid, fool, silly”, so it would be a play of words like “Fool for Breasts” referring to a guy’s intriguing attraction for big boobs (in women. . .), and the advertising for such game is. . .this:

Yep. . .an anime girl with huge boobs, and since huge boobs wouldn’t fit in that tiny cardboard, the Marketing department decided to go all 3 dimensions resulting in this 2d-3d mamacita! aaaand they can be touched, free of charge, maybe you’ll be seen as a pervert, but I bet the material those are made of is well worth it! Talk about fanservice, eh?

Release date for this game is June 29 so mark you calendars fellow Akiba-kei, wait for it. . .

On a side note. . . if you think this deeply Japan might already have full 3D anime girls somewhere in a huge basement, and they haven’t released them for fear of Otaku’s disgust at the lack of 2d goodness. So, if they release the 3D-ness little by little, we’ll get accustomed to it and finally get the full 3D chick. Maybe next they’ll release an H-game focused on anime butts, and have the anime girl’s behinds sticking out of the cardboard. I’m imagining it and I really don’t know what my reaction would be! Oh Japan, your selling strategies never ever cease to amaze me.
