Now 40% Larger! Nintendo DSi LL Japanese Release in November

While Japanese handhelds tend to focus on small design, the new DSi LL (and DSi XL in Europe) will contain large 4” screens and a new stylus with substantial girth. The street date of the DSi LL is November 21st, potential Q1 for Europe, and “further details” for a North American release.
The question to ask is why make it larger? I don’t have much space to spare in my pants and my DS conveniently fits inside my pocket. The DSi LL appears inconveniently larger which one would assume reduces portability. However with a larger screen and pre-loaded software such as Easy Meikyo Kokugo Dictionary, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters and Brain Age Express: Math it seems the target audience may not be gamers.

Looks useless and unnecessary. Still, if it’s helpful to the elderly, okay then sell it.
I get a lot of pain and cramps when I play my DSLite, so that may help me a little. I enjoy bigger displays and bigger button layout honestly.
I wear cargo pants (lol 90’s guy) all the time. I don’t see any problems with me carrying this around. One time I fit my laptop in my pocket. That was awesome.
… well well, what do we have here? The return of the original DS, only thinner?
Wow, that actually makes a huge difference :O
It reminds me of the classic DS. That thing’s pretty big.
I’m wondering if it contains any actual improvements, such as a GBA slot or extra on-board memory/ram/ faster CPU.
…Or if it’s just unreasonably bulky.
The Bigger Screens i think would only be an improvement if the graphic res was improved aswell, with the current graphics i have no problem with the current size.
other than that i think the extra ram, or power for the cpu shouldnt really need for it to go from portable to cumbersome..
