Sure they were silly and overacted, but they carried a real resemblance to the game and it’s characters, it tried to be faithful even at the cost of looking cartoonish. Now here we have the trailer for the Tekken movie and it is clear that the more things change the more they stay the same.
Sure it’s still a videogame adaptation that sucks, but it’s like they’ve given up completely now. Straight to DVD release, completely unknown cast, abysmal production value. Hell, I’ve seen better looking B-films on cable TV at 3 am.

Eventhough abysmally different from the original game, the single sight of Yoshimitsu is making me interested in the movie xD at least for a Saturday work-evening and a bag or two of Tostitos or plain corn chips. Coreography looks plausible, and i am looking forward on how Paul Phoenix and King will look like.
Why do they even bother? We should send hate mail to the directors and producers, so no more evil can be released into the world.

Let’s support fan-made films instead. At least Yoshimitsu might look better than my upcomming Kamen Rider W cosplay i have for february.

Honestly think it looks better than any of the Mortal Kombat movies. They were as awful as you could get, except for maybe the Dead or Alive movie.
I think this is looking pretty good, all things considered. I’ll save final judgment for the movie. Were I to write this off on the trailer alone it would have to look like the KOF trailer.
im going to see it, i wont lie.. im a sci-fi junkie and thats the sole reason as to why i’ll do so…
