Big day for gaming, the Leipzig Games Convention is happening and the big 3 came out with big and small news all around. Here’s what went down on Nintendo’s show.

A sequel to Mario Strikers was announced and video footage was shown, from the looks of it, team captains now do have different skills, Bowser is a playable character and he appears wearing some sort of wolverine-like claws; Boos are playable too, actually the character selection screen shows 12 characters. When a super strike is executed the goalie can try and stop them by moving the Wiimote around. Here’s a video.

Battalion Wars 2, called BWii, is also announced. Apparently not much detail was given. Also a bunch of DS titles are shown, including a german version of the DS english teaching software.

Konami showed a video promo for Elebits:

Holy cliche family fun!

And Sonic Wild Fire er.. Sonic and The Secret Rings um.. Sonic and the Secret of the Rings (working title) has a full trailer now!

No freaking word on release date or price, only that in Europe it will cost less than 250 euros (again with the 250). So much for ‘Wii prove our promise’, c’mon Nintendo, just spill it! Nintendo wont be at the TGS so unless there’s a surprise Spaceworld 2006 happening, there isn’t much opportunity left.
