Slayers Revolution: New Slayers Project Finally Named

A while ago we told you about the new Slayers project that was announced back in March. Suposed to span two seasons and be pretty much a clean break from previous storylines but following the same premise. Well the project finally has a name, Slayers Revolution, which goes pretty well with previous titles of the franchise.
Apparently there was some talk about Lina not being the lead character this time around but not much more is known, a big announcement regarding the project is expected in about a week from Dragon magazine in Japan.
Its hard to overstate my gleeful anticipation of this project.

Finnally been waiting on the name of the new season. Slayers was one of the first series I ever watched.
wow new season, just a few years later, but I love it.
I was 8 or 9 years old when I saw it :P
I’m not sure why they’re trying to return to a franchise that has been over for ages. But i’m not complaining… cause i enjoyed the originals n_n
Can’t wait!!
Its worked pretty well for Hollywood to bring back old stuff so why not for anime? Saint Seiya had a succesful comeback so is evangelion. Perhaps the era of anime rehashing is well upon us though we are not aware.
