Following on the success of the series, a trading card game based off of the Monster Hunter game has been announced. It appears that you’ll be playing the role of a hunter, and equip various shield and weapon cards as you hunt monster cards for points. Much like other trading card games, once on person hits 20 “hunter ranks” then that person wins. 2-4 people can play at a time, leading to Magic-style melees where its obvious two people are going to team up on someone. The starter deck will cost 1890 yen ($15.89), a booster pack will cost 252 yen ($2.12), and a booster box will cost you 5,040 yen ($42.38). If Wizards of the Coast decided to pick it up, you’ll definitely hear from us.

Only the girl card caught my eye… and that’s it…
Ditto, Im not touching a TCG with a ten foot pole, those things are like crack! …and I’ve already got enough things that are like crack…
seems so complicated to me… their again so does magic the gathering and WoW cards.
If this comes stateside ill be all over it. I love monster hunter!!
C’mon, I think it’s awesome!
It may be complicated but if you love monster hunter as much as I do, you would say it’s totaly worth it.
But do any of you know if there’s gonna be an english release?
Man i well be all over this if it comes to america capcom well like make half its money from me buying these cards
I would never have money again… Capcom would be wise to send this to the US, because of the MANY fans I know, they would all break their banks for this TCG… I’ve been waiting too long for a US release announcement though, we the people need updates!
