Ouch. The L.A. Times spoke with Don Mattrick, senior vice president of Microsoft’s Xbox division, and he was more than happy to explain that a new Halo game was originally going to be announced at Microsoft’s E3 press conference this past Monday, and it was cut. for a very, very terrible good reason.
Microsoft wanted the press conference to last an hour and a half, and the Halo presentation would have dragged it out to two and a half hours, so they cut it. The way Mr. Mattrick tells it, they felt it was more important to have a live demonstration of You’re in the Movies than it was to announce the next game in the series that single-handedly put them in the black the previous fiscal year.

Weak sauce. I was looking forward to a good press update. NeoGaffer were pissed about this. I’m just wondering when the Halo movie will come out…
Now this is a company that has its priorities straight. Hahaha!
