Metal Gear Solid 4: Beauty and the beast

The psychotic cybernetic nutcase’s shown in that trailer go by the names of Screaming Mantis, Raging Raven, Laughing Octopus and Crying Wolf. Laughing Octopus is pretty much a rip off of Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man and the rest of ’em look like megazords from the Power Rangers.
Mantis, Raven, Octopus and Wolf were part of the names from the FOXHOUND unit from Metal Gear Solid 1 - I wonder if there is a connection. Hmmm… Ah well! I’m sure the game will feature a 2 hour codec conversation followed by a 45 minute cut scene which explains the whole thing.

… well, they do intimidate. The Mantis-person sure looks sinister and … manipulative, ha! The dolls thing adds a touch of horror when you watch someone like this manipulating a fellow soldier into killing everyone else.
