Mega man wants to be a brawler (but it’s too late now)

Not too long ago Keiji Inafune had expressed an interest in his beloved creation ‘Mega man’ being included in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I guess he thought that if one small, annoying, blue character whose games don’t sell shit can end up in a Smash bros game that there is a window for another. The problem is that Inafune is like 2 years too late. And that he had to approach Nintendo, not wait and hope Nintendo would send him a text message asking if they could borrow Mega man for their latest game. Hideo Kojima was not too proud to beg and spent hours bowing and being curled up on the floor begging for Solid Snake to be included in a Smash bros. game. He actually wanted Snake to appear in Melee, but Nintendo said no. I doubt they gave a reason. Nintendo never do.
Mega Man is not going to even be considered for Brawl now. The game recently just went gold and already has commercials airing on Japanese television. However, it’s not too late for Nintendo to include him in the European release of the game. They could develop a sequel between the North American and European release of Brawl.
I’d never once thought about Mega man as a playable character in a Smash Bros. game, but be would actually be pretty cool and fit right in with the rest of the cast. Though I could imagine him being cheap, with lots of annoying attacks and one of the most annoying voices ever. I hated the little bastard in Marvel VS Capcom. I have very little respect for characters in Capcom games who are ridiculously small, turn and face away from their opponent to move away from them and whose standard fierce punch is a fully fledged fireball.

I have a very hard time picturing Hideo Kojima begging Nintendo for anything. I’m quite sure Nintendo had no opposition to Snake being in the game when the idea first came up. Now if they did say no to having him in Melee it was probably because they were already too far along in development to worry about another character.
Hmm I don’t really think Nintendo was 100% willing to include Snake on it.
I mean, Sonic. . .it’s the DAMN SONIC! The battle we’ve been waiting for since 1991! It’s reasonable he’d be here, but. . . Snake?
It seems awkard. . .I don’t intend to sound ungrateful or harsh, it’s just that I don’t “fit” him here.
