Fist of the North Star managed to capture the essence of Mad Max pretty well. As long as they do something more like FotNS and less like the garbage anime that’s being produced currently, it should be alright.

I’d love something in the style of Vampire Hunter D, gritty animation, lots of harsh light. Manly men and sexy women.

But its 3D so who knows!

If its anything like Kawajiri’s Highlander anime it should be well received. However, if they go with a more light-hearted approach and go with something that resembles Naruto or Inuyasha, it might not go over so well. And if that is the case it will get no such love from me.

Stylistically, they might be able to pull this off. I’d same it depends on how gritty or graphic they want to make the anime and movie. While my initial reaction is why? I’ll give the benefit of the doubt until I see something tangible…

Seeing as how kooky the series is and that it gave us Thunderdome, I think this might work for the better.

However, seeing as how id Software’s Rage and Gearbox’s Borderlands are up and coming, I don’t know how the Mad Max game will stack up.

It better live up to everything it boasted. Otherwise, i will laugh at it. I am not sure if George Miller can compare up to William Gibson.
