LittleBigPlanet, Group Level Creation Not Included
Monday 22 September 2008 @ 12:16 pm | By Chris 'Taco' Martinkovic 3 CommentsLittleBigPlanet is all about user-created content. Sure, there’s a “story” mode which will likely consist of a large handful of developer-created maps, but doubtlessly one of the biggest draws of the game was being able to create levels with your friends online in real-time. This feature, however, has been deemed incomplete by LBP developers, and has been axed from the launch version of the game. It will be available as the game’s first update, but when that will be nobody can say.
This strikes me as somewhat more than annoying. Perhaps giving consoles hard drives was a bad idea as it allows games to ship either with features removed to be implemented later, or allows game-crippling bugs to be ignored until after the game has hit shelves.

Whether it’s laziness or time constraints, I don’t like this either.
Meh… i could care less. As long as the single player level editor is still in there, i’m happy n_n
I (while less so) looking forward to this game. When I’ve seen demos of it I considered it as one of the main reasons to buy the PS3. I’ll prolly hold out for the purchase until I get more info on what my happen with the online creator.
