Here we go again, another round of different topics in one small post. Mostly because all of these don’t really deserve a post to themselves, but are worth mentioning. Side note: if you have a nifty name for this “segment” if you will, shoot away in the comments section and I’ll use it.

-Activision has blocked a patch that would allow players on Rock Band for the PS3 to use the old guitars, from guitar hero when it was under the Activision banner, and since Harmonix decided to produce Rock Band on its own, Harmonix was a little put out by that, especially when they said that the consumer would be able to use the old controller. Gotta love politics.

-The postings on Blizzards site that is asking to hire people to work on an MMO, you would think that it was WoW related, but surprise! Blizzard has announced that they are making a new MMO that has nothing to do with WoW, but nothing official has been announced as far as I know, World of Starcraft anyone?

-Prepaid cards for the Playsta-*ahem* sorry, PLAYSTATION 3’s network have been on sale in stores in Japan for a while, and it most likely will come over to the States, no announcements have been made.

-A Canadian columnist and Holy man, Father Raymond J. de Souza, has pretty much come out and said it. “Don’t play video games!” He claims that its the source of youth violence, and its most of the time “borderline pornography” and he hasn’t played a video game since Tetris, the falling blocks definitely could kill people, thank you for your brilliant and flash of genius Father.

-Presidential Candidates have filled out a Questionnaire about the video game industry, and ow they felt about it. Its a good read, and if you can vote, or even if you can’t its good to know either way, its your decision, and if you like video games, which I’m sure you probably do, this is important.
