Videogame Surgeon
I give my apologies to 1up for stealing their picture for this story, but it was just too perfect.

But don’t take my word for it; the American Psychological Association reports that gaming experience is the most accurate predictor of a surgeon’s skill, even moreso than “years of training and number of surgeries performed.”

Other statements include the endoresement of team-based games like World of Warcraft as encouraging scientific thinking. However, there is the inevitble bad news in here about violent video games as well: pariticipants who played violent video games were found to be more hostile and had more anti-social attitudes toward violence.

This just goes to show what a powerful cultural force video games already are, and will continue to be in the future as they evolve and we glean more knowledge about their effects and potential uses for bettering ourselves.

I knew playing games was good for something. I really like the Trauma series, but Need For Speed totally improved my driving.
