Welcome to an uncommon part of society where gothic spirits roam Japan’s whereabouts. . . or the main character is having a very bad trip. . .

This anime starts with a guy named Kurahashi, who has a weird obsession with wine glasses, and he is particularly fond of a Venetian glass that emits a strange aura of colors that reflects in the glass. When Mataki (sister?) goes to his place, she accidentally drops said glass, causing rage in Kurahashi, claiming the responsibility as if it were a human being; after a little analyzing on the situation, he calms down.

In a flashback, Kurahashi remembers that his uncle sent him a 18th century curio case and glassware, and when he examines the latter, he finds the colored glass, and starts to have some visions of a little girl, and since he did not see her, he assumed she was inside the glass.

For various days, Kurahashi has been obsessed with this glass, making drawings of the little girl, since his camera or other people cannot see her. One fine night, the girl starts to speak, the glass in the air, shinning; Kurahashi touches it and then the little girl is cornered by him, who has a sword, and Kills the girl, which name was Cossette . Without enough time to realize what he just did, Cossette gets up and starts to walk towards him, and (in form of the glass, filled with blood) tells him that he should drink it to prevent losing her.

After selling the 18th century curio case, Takahashi finds a painting of Cossette, which is very strange, meaning that somebody has already fallen victim to her charm. Anyways, Kurahashi thinks that after taking the case to the house of the customer who purchased the curio case, his problems would have been solved, but when he takes it there, he finds Cossette standing in front of the mirror, moveless. At night, his passion for her returns and goes to the house of the customer, only to find him and his daughter dead, and Cossette still there.

Suddenly everything starts to fill with blood and the curio case emits a light that transforms into an energy ray that penetrates through his stomach. This energy transforms him into a sort of demon, that tries to get Cossette but she teletransports upstairs, and when he is about to get her, the colored glass transports them to hell, or some freaky place with lots of blood.

The plot in all this is that for Cossette to live again, someone has to offer his blood for her, so Kurahashi is the poor victim here, who lies crucified and shedding blood all over the place. After some eddort to get to Cossette, her turns human again and tells Cossette that he does not want to live without her. She starts to say that a man had killed her before and a grudge appeared, causing some innocent people to take the role of the assassin and trying to kill Cossette over and over again.

So, now that Kurahashi drank the blass with blood form Cossette, he now has a role to fulfill, the one of protecting Cossette. . .
