Konami announces DDR Hottest Party for the Wii

Konami has recently announced Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party, marking the first time the DDR franchise enters the Nintendo universe without having Mario slapped on it. It also marks the first time a DDR game is able to use 8 dance pads, plus the game has Wiimote and Nunchuck actions included.
Basically you’ll be shaking your controllers in simple ways when a shake symbol rises up in place of an arrow. This sounds alright for your casual player, but any good DDR player will tell you that any high level song will have you shaking your entire body regardless of having controllers or not. The two trailers at GameVideos.com show fairly easy songs. This seems to be another weak DDR console port like most through its history, or it could potentially become the hardest and most interesting ever if Konami decides to up the complexity and allow players to use the 8 pads simultaneously, much like the dual pad mode in arcades.
Yes, I could have joked about the fat guy in the video and how DDR is supposed to make you workout, but seriously, that would have been too easy. Give the man a break.
