Break the heavens with your…flash memory?! Quad Elements, a Japanese manufacturer, is releasing this spiffy USB flash drive in the shape of Simon’s drill from Gurren Lagann. The model above is still subject to change but they are already taking pre-orders. Its a steep price at nearly $45 USD (4,900 yen) and only carries 1 gigabyte of data. But I’m pretty sure that with enough spiral power you can probably make it hold a petabyte or two, although by then the computer would have grown into the size of a small galaxy and be protruding with drills everywhere.

Sage for a childish, mindless anime.

It is tempting, but I think I’d rather have a replica of the drill-key. I might be willing to pay that much for a replica if it could glow, but I just don’t think I’d want it as a USB drive. Besides, removing the drill kind of looses the effect, and you could get a really nice Gurren Lagann replica for that much.
