As much a career statement as it is a provocative game title, Jade is calling her upcoming first-person survival horror game “I Am Alive”. It’s coming from Darkworks (responsible for Cold Fear) and will be released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Destructoid says it’s “set in Chicago after an Earthquake and isn’t a heavy-weapons affair.” I wonder what they mean by that. Will we be seeing a scaled-down arsenal like in the Silent Hill games? No rawket lawnchairs? We’ll find out a little more from Ubisoft at E3.

I just said I wanted a SHS like Silent Hill. And now I get my wish… although I still hoped it be on the Wii. :(
IIRC, Cold Fear got decent reviews. Guess the dev wants to out do themselves. Hopefully, this won’t be called Jade’s 2nd Game or something.
It took me a while to get into Cold Fear. It was really weird. I never played all the way through, but remember thinking I really enjoyed the rain/water effects. All of these games need to be played in the dark though. Preferably with a good sound system.
They need to start recording the audio for these kind of games in dual mic setups and force you to use headphones, now THAT wouldbe scary stuff.
Also to me, the least gunfire a survival horro game has, the better it achieves its effect. Guns make you feel safe and thats proportional to the power of the gun so yeah give me a game where all I’ve got is a fork and some dental floss and I’m in!
Oohhhh good call. I never thought of it like that. A survival horror game where you only can use the objects around you and carry items that can fit in an actual pocket.
For now I’ll just have to wait while I pick up bazooka to kill the boss in this game. Doh!
