It’s Official: Dead Space Extraction Coming To Wii

Last month, rumors circulated as EA CEO John Riccitello mentioned a Dead Space title for the Wii. Now it’s official. Due some time in autumn of 2009 Dead Space Extraction will be told as a prequel to the events of the original Dead Space released for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Extraction will be made solely with the Wii in mind, built from the ground up and extensively using the motion controls in this FPS title. Offering new weapons, enemies and co-op multiplayer, Extraction is sure to deliver a much needed injection of horror to the Wii library.
I’m a huge fan of the horror genre and I can’t wait to see what they do with the Wii controls. Are you excited? Let us know in the comments!

What a picture to wake up to!
Anywho~
Another zombie shooter for the Wii, that is never bad. I wonder how it will play though. I love House of the Dead style of games. The Wii is basically made for it to.
(Cat sounding zombies, Wha?)
That it will be on-rails is a bit of a disappointment, but it might be a good fit for the series.
I’m expecting great things from this. After playing RE4 on the Wii, i can only imagine how good Dead Spaces controls will be.
My only issue. They claim the game is a ‘prequel’ to the events that happened on the ship. But isn’t that what the animated film covered? So is it just gonna be a retelling of the movie???
Possibly, they may try to tell alternate story lines that were contained within the movie. There isn’t a lot to go on only that it will be told from space marines/colonists.
FPS? Fuck that, I wanted another action/adventure game.
