Ikaruga to hit XBLA this Wednesday

Well, the day that many of us gamers have been waiting for is nearly upon us. One of the best shooters of all time is finally getting re-released on the venerable Xbox 360 via the live arcade. With full co-op, a unique “polarity” system, and the ability to record and share replays, it will be sure to please any shmup fan. All in delicious 720P! It will be available April 9, 2008 at 9:00 AM GMT, for 800 Microsoft points.

      I’d be excited, but my pos xbox went and died on me a few days back. i thought if you treated the thing nice, that it would last like a NORMAL console, but boy was i wrong. thank god i had warranty on it, so i ’should’ get a replacement.

      oh well, i’ll just go back to my gamecube ikaruga. or hope that the PSN gets the game sometime down the road.

      damn… i really wanted to give the 360 version a go.

      As much as I would like thig game I’ll just wait and see.

      Yes, some reviews are popping in the 90’s but, if judging by the latest games that have appeared on Live Arcade, and as anyone who has played Mr. Driller could attest to, Online functionality comes out broken more often than not.

      If everything works fine I’ll get it though, I love the genre.
