High-Stakes game of Madden ends in $100,000 pay-off

I wasn’t aware of this, but apparently hip-hop artist “The Game” is “the undisputed Madden King,” beating rival rapper Bow Wow in a match of Madden 55 to 23 and thus raking in a cool $100,000 US. You can look at some of the totally unnecessary pics of the proceedings here.
Apparently there are even more matches in this series of “Superstar Showdowns,” though the match-up hasn’t yet been revealed. I’m totally at a loss here. I guess video games were always primed to enter the pantheon of other high-stakes games like blackjack and poker, so it isn’t too surprising in retrospect that something like this would happen.
