Bungie released a new trailer for it’s Halo 3 expansion today, along with multiple new details. The trailer shows the new hero, a so-far nameless Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (ODST), breaking out of a crashed drop pod with what appears to be a new weapon. After a group of Brutes walk past the building he crashed into, our hero leaves the building and heads toward the action.
According to Xbox.com, the expansion, dubbed Recon, will include an all-new campaign, new maps, and new features for the game’s sandbox mode, known as Forge. Sadly, it looks like we’re going to have to wait until Fall 2009 for the new update. But from the looks of it, I can wait.
UPDATE: One of my friends remarked that what I called a “new weapon” looks to be an SMG with a barrel attachment.

I’m glad to know that it’s a stand alone product. And judging it being “recon” I am looking forward to stealthy situations and multiple points of entry.

      Looking pretty good.
