Guilty Gear? For the Wii? Glee!

Yes, our good brothers over at IGN has delivered us good news. Apparently, the next issue of Famitsu is going to offer details on the next Guilty Gear title, Guilty Gear X2 Accent Core. From the sounds of it, it’s going to be offered both for PS2 – and for the Wii! The Japanese release date is 7/26, but no word on other international releases! I’ll update more on it if I find something.

Play-Asia seem to think it’s coming for Wii on Jul 26, 2007.
Now let’s hope it doesn’t follow the same fate as Slash & get no Western release :(

Know what would be great? If they made a NEW DARN ENTRY IN THE SERIES!!! And stopped rehashing the same old stuff from X2, adding in useless new features, and not so great characters (i’m sorry. Robo Ky is stupid!). Where’s XXX? Why are they going the ways of Capcom and the SF series?

I’ve owned every Guilty Gear since the first ever import on the ps1. But come on guys… i can only take so much of the same >_

I agree with Desfunk. They tried to take another path with GG Isuka, resulting in a major fail and still, although the GGXX series has great gameplay, more new faces are needed to keep ideas fresh. Also, some modifications to the fightning formula wouldn’t hurt either, some chars. are damn cheap!
