Game Over Dood: Memorable Deaths In Games
Friday 26 June 2009 @ 7:42 am | By Sol 5 CommentsThis one slipped by me until Fidgit editor, Tim Chick found the hidden gem from the land down under. Compiled by Australian Adam Mathew, the list includes such gruesome deaths as the chainsaw decapitation in RE4, Jenny’s passing in The Darkness, and my personal favorite, the first scene in Silent Hill. I’ve included some choice picks after the break (possible spoilers).
*note* As some one who now loves survival horror games, Silent Hill was the first to suck me in. I had played Resident Evil before, but playing SH made me scared…I probably shouldn’t have played it at night with the lights off.
Anyone play a game that just gave them the willies or had a lasting impression for months/years that followed?

No spoiler tags, eh? Alright, let’s do this.
Legend of the Dragoon
Final Fantasy VI (WoD bad end)
Call of Duty 4
Metaru Eel Sorido
Ha nice, yeah…I’ll add the spoilers tag.
Nobody remembers the Continue screen from Ninja Gaiden Arcade?… that’s one of the most coercing ways to make you want to pop a coin to avoid that your hero dies a gruesome end.
What’s with the Dood reference? I thought you were gonna recall a Disgaea death scene. Or, that’s also a reference from one of the aforementioned games :x
clap clap clap…I like your style. Yes it is a Disgaea reference. I’ve been playing a lot of Cross Edge. Although I can think of some cool death sequences in the series.
