Its been a while since we last saw anything from Otaku connoisseur Patrick Macias so I though we’d post something we never got around to posting for a little dose of Otaku culture. Last month the NHK show Tokyo Eye had Patrick document Wonderfest, the biggest figure convention in the world.
As we can see there are some truly exceptional sculptors who elevate figures from toys and collectors items into the realm of art. Also, Rei rocking out, awesome!

What a magnificent showcase of exquisite figures. God bless those who can feast their eyes in such beautiful art.
I own a few pieces myself and my most precious one is that of Motoko Kusanagi. Made of resin it stands about 12″ tall and is so perfect is as if she was standing right there next to me. Flawless piece.
:O I love Motoko! I just have two figures, one Alucard and one laid. I do have a wall scroll of Motoko. The figure I’d really kill to get is either Amon or Robin from Witch Hunter Robin.
