Update: Mad Max 3D Anime Cancelled
Monday 18 May 2009 @ 12:17 pm | By Sol 5 CommentsHi there, you seem to be new here! Here at Dark Diamond we frequently update with news about video games, anime, Japan and other cool stuff. Head on over to our homepage or go ahead and subscribe to get updates! Enjoy!
At the beginning of March we had reported George Miller of the Mad Max franchise was planning a 4th installment to be a 3D animated film. While there has not been confirmation the anime project has been cancelled, industry reports and the Aussie newspaper The Herald Sun are reporting that scouting locations are underway for a live-action film.
Many of us here were hoping for the 3D anime to be green lit. With the possible cancellation of the animated feature and Mel Gibson being deemed “too old” for the live-action role, many questions now arise. First and foremost if Mel isn’t Max, who will take his place and how can they be mad?

FUCK YES THERE IS A GOD AND HE LOVES ME
I presume you weren’t looking forward to it.
Oh man I was actually looking forward to this.
its a shame.. i was looking forward to it too…
but fret not! instead of 3d animated “Mad Max” who wouldn’t want to see Gibson as the now “Grumpy ol’ Max” =D
i can see him release his vowels at the sight of trouble then taking a nap
Atleast this get’s rid of any chance for them to screw it up.
This still leaves me a little sad =/
