First ‘Prinny’ Trailer Released

As you already know, the writers here at Dark Diamond were thrilled to see the first screens of this game, and now I’m even more psyched after seeing this trailer. Besides showcasing some rock-solid platforming mechanics, the game also looks to offer a buffet of variety in gameplay, and a whole lot of the zany humor developer Nippon Ichi is known for.
In contrast to their older Disgaea cousins, these prinnies seemed to have picked up a whole new bag of tricks. In the trailer we see them running, slashing, spinning, throwing, piloting a Metal Slug-looking tank, and battling some huge bosses (as should be mandatory in any good platformer). This could be a delicious antidote to the often overwhelming complexity of the Disgaea games.

Looks awesome. I’m interested to see how Nippon Ichi’s, er… sensibilities… will apply to the platforming medium.
This is going to be a really funny game, niche market for sure, but definitely a collector’s item.
